During my internship at Iconic Innovations Media Group, a new basketball team was created, the Jacksonville Giants. Iconic Innovations was commissioned with doing all of their live broadcast that would air locally on the CW-17. Since the city had no idea who this team was, we were tasked with coming up with some vignette pieces to show the city “Who Are Giants Players”? One person who caught my interest was 7’ 4” Center, Jason Bennett. Bennett was raised in Jacksonville and attended Arlington Country Day School, smaller school in the heart of Arlington. While at ACD, Jason caught national attention and led them to a state championship. He also holds the state record for most high school career blocks.
